Michelle Bain

Michelle Bain is the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) at Suncorp, responsible for leading risk management, compliance and regulatory affairs across the Group.

Michelle has over 25 years' experience in insurance and has held a number of executive roles at Suncorp. Most recently, she was Executive General Manager, Compulsory Third Party Insurance and Advocacy, with end-to-end accountability across portfolio and pricing, distribution, marketing and claims.

Previously, Michelle served as Group General Counsel, leading the legal, company secretariat and internal fraud functions. She has also held responsibility for customer advocacy and has led major initiatives including licence consolidation, remediation programs, acquisitions and disposals, and regulatory change programs.

Michelle holds a Bachelor of Commerce, a Bachelor of Laws (Honours), and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
