Suncorp opened the doors to a new dedicated Customer Support Centre today to strengthen its claims support for customers facing the challenges of post-flood recovery.
The centre, located in the heart of Townsville, will ensure customers of all Suncorp’s network of brands, including AAMI, Apia, Bingle, Vero and Resilium can continue to access face-to-face support throughout the recovery process.
Suncorp CEO Customer Marketplace, Pip Marlow and Suncorp Head of Claims Michael Miller officially opened the centre, reaffirming Suncorp’s continuous commitment to getting the Townsville region back on its feet as soon as possible.
This centre is the first of its kind for Suncorp, further demonstrating our commitment to supporting the people of TownsvillePip Marlow, CEO Customer Marketplace
"We can only imagine what our customers are going through. People have had their lives turned upside down - many can’t return home and have lost their personal belongings – getting customers back in their homes quickly is our number one priority.
“Suncorp’s Customer Support Teams have been on the ground since the flooding hit in early February and this dedicated claim support centre will ensure customers can continue to access the same personalised support as the recovery continues.”
Suncorp’s Head of Claims Michael Miller said our priority remains first and foremost, to get customers back on their feet and keep the assessment and repair process moving.
“The assessment process is well underway and we will maintain a strong assessor and builder presence in the region for as long as it takes:
- 60 per cent home claims assessments completed
- 95 per cent motor vehicles assessed and 80 per cent of those claims have been finalised
- $38.8M paid for building and contents claims
- local trades and suppliers being utilised
“If our customers have any questions or concerns about how their claim is tracking, or want support on what to do next, we encourage you to come see our team of claims specialists and assessors here.
“The damage caused by these floods is significant and the repairs will take some time, but we’ll be with you every step of the way,” Mr Miller said.
The Suncorp Customer Support Centre is located at 151 Sturt Street, Townsville and is open Monday – Friday from 8:30am – 4:30pm.
