As a graduate at Suncorp, I considered myself very fortunate to have had the opportunity to learn and work across two teams within Retail Lending. It was what initially drew me to Suncorp's Graduate Program—the chance to gain exposure and real experiences across the business. The program provided an excellent platform for networking, allowing me to explore different areas of the organisation and discover what truly sparked my interest.
My experience at Suncorp was nothing short of amazing, and much of it was due to the people I worked with. I felt fully supported by my leaders and peers, knowing I could always reach out whenever I needed help. The environment encouraged personal growth and development, and the people genuinely cared about each other's success.
Taking on real responsibilities allowed me to take ownership of my role, pushing me to deliver valuable work and reach my full potential.
After completing the graduate program, I transitioned into the role of Product Advisor, Business Deposits. In this position, I find immense joy working on multiple initiatives that aligned with Business Banking strategy, with a focus on growing the Business Deposit portfolio.
Additionally, assisting frontline staff with their queries and providing training and education about our business deposit products and processes feels rewarding. It’s given them the knowledge they needed to have meaningful conversations with customers, which is so fulfilling.
Reflecting on my journey, I'm grateful for the experiences and learning opportunities the graduate program provided. The exposure to various facets of the organisation and the chance to work with passionate professionals have shaped me into a well-rounded and confident individual.
Learning on the go and developing both technical and communication skills have played a crucial role in supporting me to succeed in my current role as a Product Advisor.
As I continue to grow and thrive at Suncorp, I'm excited about the possibilities that lie ahead.
