Suncorp 2025: A year in pictures
Suncorp has had another busy, yet impactful year delivering on our purpose to build futures and protect what matters.
From natural disaster response to the opening of our new Regional Hub, here are just some of the highlights over the past 12 months across our network of brands. Most importantly, our year was about showing up in the moments that matter.

Suncorp launched its new Mobile Disaster Response Hubs at the end of 2024. The first operational use of the hubs was in northern New South Wales in January, supporting customers impacted by severe storms and heavy rainfall.

Suncorp's Customer Support Team travelled to Townsville to provide face-to-face assistance to customers impacted by severe flooding in North Queensland. We used the cutting-edge technology in our Disaster Management Centre in Brisbane to help coordinate our response.
Our Compulsory Third Party (CTP) Claims teams support customers during some of the most challenging moments of their lives. We showcased Suncorp’s CTP team members in the moments that matter.

Suncorp’s assessors, builders, Customer Support Teams and Mobile Disaster Response Hubs were on the ground across South East Queensland and northern New South Wales to support customers and communities impacted by ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred.
Suncorp senior leaders, employees and special guest Liz Ellis AO gathered to celebrate International Women's Day with an event that discussed championing gender diversity and inclusion.

Suncorp was awarded Gold Tier Recognition under the Australian Workplace Equality Index (AWEI), coordinated annually by Pride in Diversity. The announcement was made at the Australian LGBTQ+ Inclusion Awards in Sydney.
Suncorp and community partner FRRR (Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal) announced $316,822 in grants to support disaster-affected communities.
Our dedication to governance, transparency and user trust was recognised at the Financial Review AI Awards, where Suncorp won in the Ethics and Responsibility category.

Suncorp announced a significant boost to its presence and disaster response capabilities in North Queensland, officially opening its Regional Hub in Townsville. More than 100 local jobs have been created.
The Queensland Government and Suncorp announced a new partnership to boost Queensland’s disaster preparedness through the Future-Ready Resilience Program and a $3 million investment.
To celebrate NAIDOC Week, Aboriginal artist Rheanna Lotter ran both in-person and virtual art workshops across Suncorp, not only sparking creativity but also enabling important conversations.
Netball clubs across Queensland and New South Wales are set to benefit from more than $72,000 in disaster relief funding to help repair and rebuild damaged courts, with the money raised through the Suncorp Super Shot.
The 2025 AAMI Crash Index was released, studying driver behaviour data around car safety features such as automotive braking. The research showed that one in five Australian drivers had disabled their car’s safety features.

Insurer Vero won three trophies at The Mansfield Awards 2025, including the Gold Mansfield Award for Claims Excellence for the sixth year in a row.
Suncorp delivered its full-year results for 2025. Suncorp CEO Steve Johnston said: "Suncorp’s FY25 performance demonstrates the strength and resilience of our business built over the past five years and our ongoing commitment to creating value for our customers, communities and shareholders.”
In August, Suncorp kicked off the fifth year of Spirit to Cure, our enterprise-wide program committed to raising funds for cancer research, support and prevention through employee participation in active events across Australia and New Zealand.
Wear It Purple Day takes place annually and was established to foster safe and supportive environments for LGBTIQ+ youth. Suncorp’s Kyrra knows first-hand the importance of championing inclusivity in the workplace and beyond.

New AAMI research found that more than a third of Australian drivers have been involved in an accident or near-miss due to distractions. These new findings underpinned the launch of nationwide safer driving initiative, the AAMI Driving Test.
Australia’s leading caravan and RV insurer CIL, part of Suncorp, collaborated with TAFE Queensland and Caravanning Queensland to donate a caravan for training future repair professionals across the state.

Get Ready Queensland Week is an annual initiative led by the Queensland Reconstruction Authority (QRA) and proudly supported by Suncorp. This year, Suncorp introduced new resilience resources to help communities strengthen their preparedness.
October was Cyber Security Awareness Month, and we spoke to Suncorp’s Executive General Manager, Cyber Security and Risk, Keith Howard, about why embedding a culture of cyber safety matters now more than ever.
Suncorp responded to a severe weather event that impacted southeast and parts of inland southern Queensland, causing widespread damage to properties, businesses and cars. Its builders and Customer Support Team, including the mobile hubs, were deployed to impacted regions.
As a platinum partner of the FIA Girls on Track initiative, Shannons Insurance, part of Suncorp, supports young women interested in pursuing careers in motorsports by facilitating hands-on industry experience and opportunities.

Insurer AAMI reaffirmed its long-standing commitment to South Australia with the unveiling of new signage at its Adelaide headquarters, home to more than 600 employees.
Suncorp has been building skills for the future and investing in our people through its Reskill Program. Business Process Modelling (BPM) graduate Celeste revealed how the program has led to exciting new opportunities in the workplace and beyond.
The Future Housing Roundtable, hosted by Suncorp, took place at Parliament House in Canberra. It was centred on a new public policy paper from Suncorp, which explores how to increase housing supply in ways that are both affordable and resilient.
The release of New Zealand's National Adaptation Framework is an important first step in changing how we plan for, manage and respond to natural hazards. Suncorp New Zealand and the Insurance Council of New Zealand - Te Kāhui Inihua o Aotearoa (ICNZ) brought together experts to discuss its real-world impact.

The silly season hit Australia's shopping centre car parks, and new research from AAMI showed we take on some very distinctive alter egos when hunting for that prized parking space.
Suncorp’s annual Spirit to Cure program has wrapped for another year, with close to 4,000 employees donning their activewear to raise money for cancer research, prevention and support. Across 12 events, Suncorp’s Sun Chasers ran, swam, cycled and walked with their teammates in the spirit of connection and fundraising for a cause that has touched so many lives.
