Suncorp Group supports customers in the aftermath of extreme weather events

NSW and QLD bushfire response

As soon as it was safe, assessors and building coordinators were in several locations on the mid-north coast of NSW, including Forster, Failford, Rainbow Flat, Mungay Creek, Moparrabah and Johns River to determine the extent of the damage and keep the claims process moving.

A Customer Support Team (CST) was also in Taree to help customers lodge their claims.

“Our teams are organising temporary accommodation for customers, from all of our brands including GIO, AAMI, Apia, Suncorp Insurance and Shannons, whose homes have been severely damaged and providing cash payments to make emergency purchases,” spokesman Joshua Cooney said.

Meanwhile in Queensland, assessors were quickly on the ground in Central Queensland region near Yeppoon to assess the damage of properties impacted by the bushfires and to ensure the claims process moved smoothly and efficiently.

Sunshine Coast hailstorm response

CSTs were also on the ground on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast to help customers impacted by the recent severe hailstorm.

The teams were based in Suncorp Stores in in Caloundra, Kawana Waters and Maroochydore and helped Suncorp Insurance, AAMI, Apia, GIO, Shannons, Vero and Bingle customers lodge their claims.
