Suncorp launches image capturing technology to assist with vehicle repairs
A initiative launched earlier this month by Suncorp's Motor Claims team provides opportunities to further improve customers’ claims experience.
Customer Vehicle Image Capture (CVIC) gives selected customers the ability to upload images of their damaged vehicle immediately via a secured link using their smartphone.
Once submitted, images are instantly accessible by the allocated repairer – meaning they can view the damage, plan out the repair process and in some cases even pre-order required parts prior to the vehicle actually arriving on site, leading to increased efficiencies and faster repair times.
“Suncorp continues to embrace technology and has recently fast-tracked a number of digital solutions to ensure insurance claims continue to be resolved quickly, and CVIC is just the latest,” Head of Motor Claims, Anna Cartwright said.
“We’re incredibly excited about the initiative and hope to continue exceeding our customer’s expectations through an improved repair experience into the future.”
Other digital solutions provided by Suncorp to assist in enhancing the customer claims experience include increasing WebChat capabilities, extending online claims functionality and offering virtual claims assessment for commercial and consumer properties.
